Efekty uczenia się:

1. The student explains the basic concepts of inorganic and general chemistry; describes the properties of elements resulting from their position in the periodic table. K_W01

2. Uses the currently valid nomenclature of inorganic compounds; saves correctly the structural and summary formulas of inorganic substances. K_W02

3. Discusses the methods of obtaining and the physicochemical properties of elements in the s, p, d block of the periodic table and the most important compounds. K_W03

4. Indicates the areas of application of elements and their compounds in industry and everyday life; interested in the basic chemical processes taking place in the environment. K_W10, K_K02.

5. Identifies and solves chemical problems based on the acquired knowledge, interprets the obtained results, prepares reports on the conducted experiments. K_U01, K_U04

6. Has the ability to synthesize, purify, analyze the composition of chemical compounds using classical and instrumental methods while working in a group. K_U02

7. He handles chemicals safely, selects them and is responsible for the safety of his own work and that of others. K_W15, K_K05

8. Understands the need to learn, independently searches for information in literature; learns selected issues in inorganic chemistry and is able to present them to other people in an accessible way in the form of a popular science performance. K_K01, K_K07, K_U07, K_U08, K_K08

Metody i kryteria oceniania:

In order to pass the laboratory, student must complete all laboratory exercises, pass the reports on the exercises performed and obtain a positive grade from the written tests.

Zakres tematów:

1. Introduction to the exercises from inorganic chemistry, regulations of the workshop.

2. Determination of the solubility product of PbCl2 by precipitation titration and the conductometric method.

3. Extraction - spectrophotometric study of the system: picric acid - promazine.

4. Determination of the average number of coordination and constant formation of silver complex with ammonia.

5. Determination of the dissociation constant of blue thymol.

6. The stability constant of the complex [Ni(NH3)4]2+ and [Cu(NH3)4]2+ determined by potentiometric method.

7. Chemical preparation of:

- hydrated chromium (III) and potassium sulphate CrK(SO4)2·12H2O

- aluminum-potassium alum AlK(SO4)2·12 H2O

- ferrous ammonium sulphate - Mohra salt (NH4)2Fe(SO4)2·6H2O.

8. Examination of purity of previously obtained alum and determination yield of reaction.

9. Complex compounds - preparation of aminocomplexes, hydroxocomplexes, halogencomplexes, chelate compounds and preparations trans – [Co(en)2(NO2)2]NO3.

10. Selected properties of some elements of group d: iron, chromium, manganese.

11. Examination of oxygen binding systems and atypical chemical reactions:

- Landolt's clock reaction;

- Harcourt reaction;

- oscillatory reaction using salt Mn (II).

12. Selected issues in bioinorganic chemistry:

- isolation of chlorophyll from selected vegetable plants;

- protonation processes: titration of natural and synthesis porphyrin.

13. The effect of pH on Cu (II) binding by glycylglycine in aqueous solution.
