All learning outcomes will be verified during the oral exam.

Metody i kryteria oceniania:

Oral exam. The student answers one question drawn from the pool of questions. Questions will be delivered to students no later than two weeks before the end of the semester.

Assessment criteria (the level of knowledge required for a particular grade):

sufficient (3) - the student knows the general reasons of underdevelopment of less developed countries and counteracting measures, but does not fully understand their explanation in the economic theory. The student is able to generally characterize the current diversity of development in the world and the relevant measurement methods

good (4) - the student has satisfactory level of knowlegde andvunderstands both the historical background, conditions and theoretical explanations of the existing diversity of development. The student is able characterize selected development indicators and is aware of their imperfections

excellent (5) - the student knows and understands very well the existing development diversity, the reasons for underdevelopment of less developed countries and counteracting measures, as well as fully understands their theoretic explanation; discusses the causes of the underdevelopment and actions aimed at reducing the development gap; knows the development indicators and understands the differences between them and their imperfections.

2. Evolution of the category of development in economic sciences

3. Measurement of development - Monetary and non-monetary indicators of economic growth and development

4. Factors of economic development in less developed countries

5. Theories of underdevelopment and development

6. Microeconomic approach to the development of underdeveloped countries

7. New concepts of designing development instruments

8. Development assistance

Metody dydaktyczne:

Lecture accompanied by multimedia presentations. Discussion during the lecture.

In the academic year 2020/2021 , due to the restrictions related to the COVID-19 epidemic, the lecture takes place via the Teams platform.
