After successfully studying course of Thermodynamics students will be able to:

1. Understand the physical bases of Thermodynamics;

3. Take measurements of Thermodymanics experiments using a simple tools such as multimeters, manometers or signal generators. Compare the measurements with the behavior predicted by mathematic models and explain the discrepancies;

4. Analyze problems in the field of basic Thermodynamics and find their solutions, analyze and formulate conclusions;

5. Use literature and Internet resources to understanding and solving the problems of Thermodynamics;

6. Use teamwork skills laboratory, assuming the role of the leader or the coordinator of the experiment;

7. Organize a work and take responsibility for results of his work;

8. Appreciate the practical significance of the systems developed in the course.

To gets assessment of laboratory necessary is:

- to execute all of labs,

- to prepare reports

- and answer for questions connected with an executed lab.

Experiments on Thermodynamics:

1. The thermal expansion of air,

2. The behavior of water density as a function of temperature,

3. The volume of solids determining,

4. The Cp/CV measurement for air,

5. The Rüchardt’ experiment ,

6. The current-voltage (V-I) characteristic of diode,

7. The specific heat measurement,

8. The temperature coefficient of resistivity,

9. The thermocouple characteristics.

Practical methods - execution experiments on Thermodynamics. Students analyze problems in the field of basic physics, to find their solutions, analyze and formulate conclusions; used the theory of measurement uncertainty to analyze of experiment data.
