Skrócony opis: |
The aim of the course is to make students familiar with the fundamental issues concerning forensic science including techniques and tactics – definitions, scope of interest, principles as well as legal and technical aspects. It is representing the continental approach to this science. Since Faculty of Law has its own forensic lab it is possible to utilizes its equipment during lectures which gives the opportunity to learn some practical skills e.g. fingerprinting people, finding and securing fingerprints. |

Profile of studies - general academic Form of studies - extramural Course type - specialization Field and discipline of science - social sciences and legal sciences Year of study / sem. - year V / sem. IX-X. Prerequisites - none The number of teaching hours divided into forms of conducting classes - 15 hours of the seminar (6 asynchronous e-learning hours). Didactic methods - seminar, consultations. ECTS points - 3 Student workload balance - participation in classes 15 hours (6 asynchronous e-learning hours), preparation for classes and exam 37,5 hours, participation in consultations related to classes 28,5 hours. Total: 75 hours, corresponding to 3 ECTS credits Quantitative indicators - student workload related to activities requiring the teacher's direct participation 37,5 hours, which corresponds to 1.5 ECTS points, and student workload that does not require direct teacher participation 37,5 hours, which corresponds to 1.5 ECTS points. |

Knowledge, graduate: - has in-depth knowledge of the principles and institutions of criminal, civil, administrative, constitutional law as well as judicial and administrative procedures - K_W03 - knows and understands the terminology appropriate to specific disciplines of law - K_W08 Skills, graduate: - is able to correctly interpret and explain the meaning of specific legal norms and the mutual relations between these norms within specific areas of law - K_U01 - is fluent in the Polish law system, uses the norms of individual areas of law to solve specific problems by themselves; depending on own interests (selected specialization subjects) has extended skills to solve complicated practical problems in specific fields of law - K_U05 Competences, graduate: - is able to independently and critically supplement knowledge and skills, extended by the interdisciplinary dimension - K_K06 |
Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
Grade scale from 2 to 5. The final grade consists of: - preparation of Powerpoint presentation on topic given by teacher and its oral presentation Completion of e-learning tasks is mandatory. Failure to complete the e-learning decreases the final grade by 0.5 grade. Activity in class may increase the grade by 0.5 grade. Depending on the regulations, the final examination may be conducted using electronic means of communication. |
