The lecture covers the following topics: Cancer definitions, the process of cancer formation, modern methods of cancer treatment. Tumor markers, types and specificity. Basic applications of tumor markers. Methods for the determination of tumor markers. The concept and structure of a biosensor, classification of biosensors. Materials used for the construction of biosensors. The essence of the SPR method. SPR biosensors in medical diagnostics. Possibilities of using the SPR method. |
Pełny opis: |
Full-time studies, 2nd degree, group of optional subjects, field of exact and natural sciences, chemical sciences, 2nd year / 2nd semester. The student should have general knowledge of analytical and physical chemistry, biochemistry, and chemical calculations. Number of lecture hours 15h Teaching methods: lecture, discussion ECTS credits - 2 Total student workload: E: 75 hours. including: participation in lectures: 15 hours; preparation for classes, examination: 33 hours; participation in consultations, examination: 2 hours Quantitative indicators: Total student workload related to the class 50h; 2.0 ECTS 1) requiring the direct participation of the teacher16.9h; 0.7 ECTS, 2) practical 35h; 1.4 ECTS. |

The condition for completing the course is an exam or a grade, at the choice of the student. Three absences will qualify for failing the course. |
