(tylko po angielsku) The aim of education within the Economics of Development is to provide students with in-depth knowledge about the essence and causes of the diversity of socio-economic development in the world, underdevelopment and factors, and directions and tools for stimulating this development. Students will acquire the ability to diagnose the state of social and economic development of countries using a wide range of aggregated and non-aggregated development indicators. They will gain the ability to deeply analyse the causes and effects of socio-economic underdevelopment in selected countries and understand internal and international factors that hinder the processes of economic development in underdeveloped countries. They will gain knowledge of micro and macro-economic theories explaining the possibilities of stimulating this development. Students will learn about the sources of relevant statistical databases such as Eurostat, OECD, UNSD and other statistical data publishers. |

(tylko po angielsku) KNOWLEDGE 1ERO_W01 The student knows and understands, at an advanced level, the dependencies and conditions for growth and economic development in high and less developed countries (KP6_WG2 ) SKILLS 1ERO_U01 - The student can use the acquired knowledge to analyse and interpret the process of economic development and the causes of the development gap between underdeveloped and developing countries (KP6_UW1). 1ERO_U02 can independently plan a learning process and deepen its knowledge in underdevelopment, using appropriate sources of information (KP6_UU1). COMPETENCES 1ERO_K01 - The student is aware of their level of knowledge and skills and understands the need for continuous learning due to the dynamics of development processes in the world (KP6_KK1) The verification of all learning outcomes will occur during the discussion in the oral exam. |
Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
(tylko po angielsku) Oral exam. The student answers one problem question drawn from the pool of questions. The set of questions will be delivered to students no later than two weeks before the end of the semester. |
