It is a descriptive course concerning the need to protect intellectual property of brands and their products by which customers recognize them. In todays' highly competitive global market, fashion designers, entrepreneurs and executives need fashion law. The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the main ideas, knowledge, and trends of fashion law. The course presents the origins of fashion law in EU and the basic terminology in this field. In this course, students will be acquainted with the most important issues and problems in this field. |

Profile of studies - general academic. Form of study - full-time. Course type - compulsory. Field and discipline of science - social sciences and legal sciences. Year of study / sem. - year IV / sem. 7. Prerequisites - none. Number of didactic hours divided into forms of conducting classes - 16 hours of seminar. Teaching methods - classic lecture supplemented with multimedia presentations, seminar, consultations. ECTS points - 4. Student workload balance - participation in 16 hours of classes, preparation for classes and exam 50 hours, participation in consultations related to classes 33 hours, exam 1 hour. Total: 100 hours, equivalent to 4 ECTS credits. Quantitative indicators - student workload related to activities requiring direct teacher participation 50 hours, which corresponds to 2 ECTS points, and student workload, which does not require direct teacher participation 50 hours, which corresponds to 2 ECTS points. |

Knowlegde: K_W03 - has in-depth knowledge of the principles and institutions in the field of criminal, civil, administrative, constitutional law as well as judicial and administrative procedures K_W08 - knows and understands the terminology appropriate to individual disciplines of law Skills: K_U01 - is able to correctly interpret and explain the meanings of specific legal norms and the mutual relations between these norms within a specific field of law K_U05 - is fluent in the Polish law system, uses the norms of individual areas of law to solve specific problems by himself; depending on his own interests (selected specialization subjects) has extended skills in solving complicated practical problems in a given field of law Social competences: K_K06 - is able to independently and critically supplement knowledge and skills extended by the interdisciplinary dimension Verification method: oral exam or final written essay |
