Social Psychology

The main objective of the course is to provide students with a general background to the main content areas of social psychology, as well as an understanding of the methods and techniques used by social psychologists to study human social behavior.

The main goals of the course are:

->To build a knowledge-base of significant, classical studies in social psychology

->To enable students to describe, explain and evaluate research studies of social psychology

->To develop critical thinking skills

The number of hours of teaching assignments by forms of teaching - 30 hours of discussion classes.

Teaching methods: assessment of students' activity during classes, preparation and presentation of issues related to the content discussed during classes, project, appointments, oral exam

The balance of the students' work - classes 30 hours, preparation for the classes and exam – 60 hours, appointments 15 hours, project- 30 hours, . In sum - 135 hours.

Quantitative indicators of the students' work related to classes: 1) that requires direct involvement of the teacher: 45 hours 2) that does not require direct involvement of the teacher (preparation) – 90h
