Field of Study: General Academic Mode of Study: Full-time Course Type: Specialization Specialization Module: 2 Sales Management Class Group: 7b Areas of Activity of Trading Enterprises Field and Discipline of Science: Social Sciences, Discipline: Economics and Finance Year/Semester: Undergraduate, Year III, Semester 5 Prerequisites (Sequential System of Classes and Exams): None Number of teaching hours by class format: Exercises: 30 hours Teaching Methods: • Exercises using activating methods engaging students in independent and group work and discussions: solving tasks and tests, joint discussion of topics, problem-based methods, educational discussions. • Problem-based methods, educational discussions, and solving tasks and tests during individual consultations according to the lecturer's consultation schedule depending on the student's needs. Exercise Topics: 1. Introduction to financial management 2. Financial statements as a main source of information 3. Financing decisions: sources and cost of capital 4. Investment decisions and capital budgeting: time value of money, methods for assessing the effectiveness of investment projects (NPV, NPVR, PI, IRR, Payback Period) ECTS Points: 2 Student Workload Balance (Type of Activity and Number of Hours): Participation in exercises (30 hours) Studying the course literature (5 hours) Preparation for the exercises (6 hours) Preparation for the final exam (5 hours) Preparation in the final exam (2 hours) Participation in consultations (2 hours) Total Student Workload: 50 hours (1 ECTS = 25 hours) Quantitative Indicators: Student workload related to activities requiring direct participation of the teacher (Number of hours/ECTS Points): 35 hours / 1.4 ECTS |

Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
The general conditions are specified in the Regulations of the University of Białystok (Appendix to the Announcement No. 6/2022 of the Rector of the University of Białystok dated December 7, 2022). Exercises: • The condition for passing the exercises is achieving the intended learning outcomes. The form of verification - written exam and active participation during classes. • To pass, a minimum of 51% of the total possible points must be obtained. Depending on the applicable regulations, the possibility of conducting the final exam using electronic communication means is reserved. |
