Skrócony opis:

The aim of the course is to make students familiar with the fundamental issues concerning forensic science including techniques and tactics – definitions, scope of interest, principles as well as legal and technical aspects. It is representing the continental approach to this science.

Since Faculty of Law has its own forensic lab it is possible to utilizes its equipment during lectures which gives the opportunity to learn some practical skills e.g. fingerprinting people, finding and securing fingerprints.

The number of teaching hours divided into forms of conducting classes - 12 hours of the seminar.

Didactic methods - seminar, consultations.

ECTS points - 4

Student workload balance - participation in classes 12 hours, preparation for classes and exam 50 hours, participation in consultations related to classes 36 hours, exam 2 hours. Total: 100 hours, corresponding to 4 ECTS credits

Quantitative indicators - student workload related to activities requiring the teacher's direct participation 50 hours, which corresponds to 2.0 ECTS points, and student workload that does not require direct teacher participation 50 hours, which corresponds to 2.0 ECTS points.
