ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 1.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

The student should know the basics of forensic chemistry and the basics of quality systems.

Short description:

The seminar is devoted to discussing the requirements in various forensic fields and discussing selected examples of the practical application of standards.

Number of hours of teaching classes divided into forms of conducting classes - 15 hours of seminars, own work student 10 h, consultations 5 h

Teaching methods - moderated discussion, presentation, work with the text

Balance of student workload Quantitative indicators - student workload related to classes requiring direct participation of the teacher 16.9 hours, which corresponds to 0.6 ECTS point and student workload that does not requires direct teacher participation for 10 hours, which corresponds to 0.4 ECTS points.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Conditions for passing the course: preparing a presentation, completing worksheets, activity and attendance at classes.

The assessment criteria are in accordance with the University of Bialystok Studies Regulations.

It is possible to introduce flexible forms of assessment in agreement between the lecturer and the student in accordance with the principles of universal design, but such conditions should be established at the beginning of the teaching cycle.
