Short description: |
Students acquire elementary knowledge of English phonetics and phonology and the role they play in the process of speech production and perception. Students can name and describe all phonetic subsystems, indicate their functions in language, characterize segmental and suprasegmental units. |

Studies’ profile: general academic, degree level: BA studies, type of course: compulsory (M_5), linguistics, full-time, three-year studies, 1st year, winter and summer semester, knowledge of the English language at the level corresponding to the standards of First Certificate Examination, 30 hours lecture, 2 ECTS.
