Skrócony opis:	The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic principles of academic writing. Students will be familiarized with the formal requirements, e.g. the structure of footnotes and bibliographies, as well as the substantive expectations towards authors of academic texts. The most important goal of the subject is for students to master the basic skills of writing scientific texts. Students should know and be able to apply in practice the editorial principles of the structure of an essay, article, and thesis.

Efekty uczenia się:	KP6_WK1 - has knowledge of the functioning of various types of contemporary and historical social structures KP6_UW1 - is able to use various typologies of social phenomena to describe and analyse them KP6_UW4- is able to independently create research hypotheses and makes first attempts to verify them KP6_UW9 - is able to correctly analyse and interpret source texts on the basis of the acquired knowledge KP6_UK1 - has the skills of substantive argumentation using the views of various authors and formulating conclusions in scientific works (essays, annual and semester works) KP6_UK4 - speaks and writes a modern foreign language at the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages KP6_UU1 - is able to use various sources in written assignments. can recognize various types of sources, can use Internet sources KP6_KK3 - is able to think critically, is aware of the need to demonstrate scientific reliability and the ability to correctly argue in the situation of a scientific or ideological dispute KP6_KR2 - ensures compliance with the law in relation to intellectual property issues KP6_KO4 - demonstrates an active attitude towards the possibility of improving his/her knowledge, also according to modern technologies KP6_KR4 - is aware of the complexity and multidimensional nature of social life and is sensitive to the phenomenon of cultural relativism
