During the course students gain basic knowledge about the functioning of mass media and new media in contemporary society. The media-society relationship will be discussed in historical, social, cultural and technological context. The media in Poland and in selected countries of the world will be analyzed. |

Profile: general, full-time studies Course time: 30 hours Methods and assessment objectives: individual and group work, text analysis, discussion, presentation. Scheme of assessment attendance, active in class participation, entry tests, project work 5 ECTS credits 32 h contact hours (30 hours in class, 2 hour - consultations ) 98 hrs - independent and guided study, (reading and preparation for classes, project work) Quantitative indicators Student workload - contact hours: 32 hrs, 1,3 ECTS credits - independent or guided study: 98 hrs , 3,7 ECTS credits |

W trakcie kursu Student osiąga następujące efekty uczenia się: KA7_WG1: potrafi samodzielnie definiować terminy socjologiczne KA7_WG2: ma pogłębioną wiedzę na temat specyfiki terminologii socjologicznej KA7_WG3: ma pogłębioną wiedzę na temat relacji socjologii do innych nauk społecznych KA7_UW7: Potrafi formułować własne opinie, wyciągać wnioski z analizy KA7_KK4:Jest otwarty na wykorzystanie wiedzy z innych dyscyplin naukowych w rozstrzyganiu problemów społecznych. |
