Learning outcomes and verification methods:

The student knows the major theorems of mathematical statistics related to statistical spaces, statistics, exponential statistical spaces, hypothesis testing, theory of estimations, decision theory - Exam and/or Homework.

The student understands fundamentals of mathematical statistics and statistical processing of data bases - Exam.

The student is able to determine the statistics and estimators with selected properties, as well as to test hypotheses - Exam and/or Homework.

The student is able to express in writing and oral statistical content - Exam and/or Homework.

The student knows foundations of the theory of Fisher information. - Exam and/or Homework.

Final exam in written form provided that student has passed exercises and laboratory.

Exam is divided to two parts: theoretical and practical, both marked independently.

The final mark is accordingly the list:

91%-100% A

81%-90% B

71%-80% C

61%-70% D

51%-60% E

0%-50% F

Contents of the course:

Statistical space; Sufficient statistics and free statistics; Statistical information; Mathematical foundations of the theory of estimation; Mathematical foundation of testing hypotheses; Exponential staistical spaces; Decision theory.

Teaching methods: lectures, consultations, studying literature, homework.
