The purpose of the course is for students to acquire theoretical knowledge, as well as to learn the practical principles of the management process.

The acquired knowledge is the basis for dealing more broadly with the problems of organizational functioning, including the independent search for

solutions for management. The knowledge imparted is the basis for studying such subjects as: organizational behavior

Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, Fundamentals of Marketing.

Number of teaching hours by form of instruction: Lecture 18h, exercises 18h

Didactic methods: Traditional lecture with the use of multimedia presentations, engaging the audience to ask questions and

sharing their own observations during the lecture. In the exercises, group tasks, case study and discussion.

Topics of the course: essence and scope of management, Roles and skills of a manager in an organization, Planning in an organization, Organizational structures.

Organizational structures, Leadership and power in an organization, Motivation, Controlling in an organization.

Forms of course credit: Lecture - Written exam in the form of a test is considered passed when obtaining min. 51% correct answers

answers, only students who receive credit from exercises are allowed to take the exam.

Exercises - 50% of the grade - tasks done during the class, in groups or individually, case study, part is considered to be passed at the

obtaining min. 51% of the points possible to obtain; 50% of the grade - colloquium, the colloquium is considered passed when min 51% of the

correct answers. A student is entitled to 1 absence. Credit for excess absences is given at consultations,

the student answers questions on the subject of the class at which he was absent
