Założenia (opisowo): | (tylko po angielsku) The course aims at equipping students with a solid knowledge of the legal principles relating to European Union Immigration Law and raising the awareness of students to the legal, political and ethical challenges posed by the movement of individuals within the European Union as well as critically evaluate the role played by the EU institutions (in particular the Court of Justice of the European Union) in the development of the law in this area. Additionally during the course the following topics are covered: nationality, visiting Poland, points based system applications from students and workers, marriage and family applications, asylum applications and appeals, human rights impacting on immigration and asylum matters, removal, deportation and appeals. |

Analysis of the Schengen Convention as a model for EU action on JHA 3. EU measures on asylum. EU action on economic and irregular migration 4. Border controls. Population controls and EU databases: the development of EURODAC, the EU Visa Information System and the Schengen Information System and their interoperability. 5. Immigration Law in Poland as an Example of Domestic Law Regulations on Movement of Individuals |

(tylko po angielsku) Profile of studies - general academic. Form of study - stationary and remote. Course type - optional. Field and discipline of science - social sciences and legal sciences. Prerequisites - none Number of didactic hours divided into forms of conducting classes - 16 hours of lectures (8 hours remote synchronously). Didactic methods - lecture, consultations, presentation. Student workload balance - participation in classes 16 hours, preparation for classes 50 hours, participation in consultations related to classes 34 hours Total: 100 hours, corresponding to 4 ECTS credits. Quantitative indicators - student workload related to activities requiring a teacher's direct participation of 50 hours, which corresponds to 2 ECTS credits, and student workload that does not require direct teacher participation 50 hours, which corresponds to 2 ECTS credits |

(tylko po angielsku) Graduate: KA7_WG2 has an in-depth knowledge of legal general disciplines (jurisprudence, legal logic jurisprudence, legal logic, legal theory and philosophy, political political and legal doctrines, legal and democratic theory), legal historical disciplines, KA7_UU2 recognises the links between legal phenomena and other cultural and social phenomena, KA7_UW4 uses the knowledge to resolve legal dilemmas, ambiguous matters interpretations; is able to indicate possible solutions, while maintaining ethical standards, KA7_KK2 is able to complement independently and critically his/her knowledge and skills, extended by an interdisciplinary dimension Ways to verify all the learning outcomes: written exam, assessment of activity during classes (common methods for all learning outcomes) |
Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
(tylko po angielsku) In order to be admitted to the final credit of the course, the student must have all the attendances in the class. In the case of absence (for whatever reason) the student is obliged to make up the absence by writing an essay (on the material covered in the course) in agreement with the teacher. Making up the absence should take place within 2 weeks of the cessation of the reason for absence from the class. Form of assessment: - essay and paper presentation Grading scale: 10-9- very good 8- good+ 7-6- good 5 - sufficient 4 and below - fail The possibility to change the form of credit in the case of a change to fully remote learning is introduced. Grading scale from 2 to 5. The possibility to change the form of credit in the case of a change to a fully remote mode of learning is introduced. |
