ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 3.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Short description: (in Polish)

The course is dedicated to the governmental international organizations. It is divided into two parts.

The first one covers general problems of international organizations including their clasiffications, module structure, division of powers between member states and the organization.

The second one focuses on particular selection of international organizations and engages students who are asked to conduct research and prepare a presentation on the selected organization.

Field and discipline of science - social sciences and legal sciences.

Prerequisites - none

Number of didactic hours divided into forms of conducting classes - 16 hours of lectures.

Didactic methods - lecture, consulations, presentation.

ECTS points - 6.

Student workload balance - participation in classes 30 hours, preparation for classes and exam 50 hours, participation in consultations

related to classes 19 hours, exam 1 hour. Total: 100 hours, corresponding to 4 ECTS credits.

Quantitative indicators - student workload related to activities requiring a teacher's direct participation of 50 hours, which corresponds to

2 ECTS credits, and student workload that does not require direct teacher participation 50 hours, which corresponds to 2 ECTS credits.

administrative procedures

SKILLS. Graduate:

K_U01 - is able to correctly interpret and explain the meaning of specific legal norms and the mutual relations between these norms within

specific areas of law

K_U05 is fluent in the Polish law system, uses the norms of individual areas of law to solve specific problems by themselves; depending on

own interests (selected specialization subjects) has extended skills to solve complicated practical problems in specific fields of law

K_K06 - is able to independently and critically supplement knowledge and skills, extended by the interdisciplinary dimension

Assessment methods and assessment criteria: (in Polish)

Participation in in the class is mandatory and constitutes the basis for the final grade.

If a person misses the class and wants to make it up, it has to be done within 2 weeks during the consutlation hours.

Grade scale from 2 to 5.

The course will be evaluated based on:

1. multiple choice test of 15 questions.

Grading system:

12-11 - 5

10 - 4,5

8-9 - 4

7 - 3,5

6 - 3

2. additional 05, of the grade can be added based on the student presentation of the selected international organization

E-learning modules may be introduced up to 50% of the classes.
