Prerequisites (description):

This course addresses the relationship between direct and representative democracy. It explores the forms of direct democracy. It demonstrates the uses of mechanisms of direct democracy in the contemporary world and pays attention to the citizen-initiated mechanisms of direct democracy. The course analyses from the comparative perspective the experience of selected European and non-European states in direct democracy.

acquiring knowledge of the forms of direct democracy (referendum, people's initiative. Acquiring bknowledge of popular votes, their reulst, cosequences and the subject of referendum in selected countries.

The number of hours of didactic classes divided into forms of conducting classes - 30 hours of lecture

Teaching methods - classic lecture, consultation, E-learning lecture.

ECTS points - 6.

Student workload balance - participation in classes 15 hours, preparation for classes and exam (including 15 hours e-learning) 75 hours, participation in consultations related to classes 58 hours, exam - 2 hours. Total: 150 hours, corresponding to 6 ECTS credits.
