ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 3.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Prerequisites (description):

The course deals with the basics of the administrative law of the European Union. It starts with general presentation of EU law and its relation towards national law. Then, it refers to the following issues: basic characteristics, concepts and sources of EU administrative law, direct (includin organisational aspects and the problem of legal forms of action) and indirect implementation of EU law as well as challenges and perspectives of EU administrative law development.

Knowledge:

- student has an in-depth knowledge concerning principles and institutions (and procedures) of EU administrative law (KA7_WG3)

- student knows and understands basic legal terminology as well as the terminology specific to EU administrative law (KA7_WK3)

Skills:

- correctly interprets and explains the meaning of of certain legal norms and the relationship between these norms within EU administrative law (KA7_UW1)

- uses norms of particular fields of law to solve specific problems; depending on his/her own interests (EU admonistrative law) has extended skills of solving complicated practical problems in a specific area of law (KA7_UO1)

Social competence:

- student is able to supplement individually and critically his/her konowledge and skills including also interdisciplinary aspects (KA7_KK2)

Verification: for all the effects - oral exam (list of topics included in part. B), in justified cases - written exam (single-choice test)

Depending on epidemic situation and limitations connected to it the exam might be organized via e-learning platform (e.g. EduPortal), in

such case it will be written exam - real time test (single-choice)

oral exam - three questions concerning topics listed in part. B, the final result depends also on student's activity during the semester
